Fully support this proposal. I think there is quite a bit of legacy issues with bitdao being a Dao treasury token and when bitdao launch a L2 Mantle, people might get confused the relationship of the two. By converting a new mantle token, this solves all the confusion and bitdao legacy issues.
With the token acceleration, Iām in full support as well as this will give the new token a better tokenomics and more even distribution.
Lastly, in order for the L2 to be successful, we are looking forward to some killer app in the mantle ecosystem.
Bybit will stand firmly with the mantle/bitdao community supporting mantle development as well projects listing on mantle. I think the Next bull run will be about L2s, go Mantle.

The ideas of the proposals are great, I wholeheartedly support the proposals because of the principle of āOne Brand, One Tokenā applied; Positioning a unified ecosystem brand with a focus on products. Authorize the token conversion plan. Simplify tokens for a fresh start to the Mantle Network mainnet and token list.
I hope this new proposal will soon be supported by the community through voting rights

The one brand, one token principle will not only clarify the relationship between BitDAO, Mantle, TroublePunk, Yooldo, and even HyperPlay, but it will also promote a unified community and foster growth.

Will this rebranding change the entire BitDAO tonomics and stay with the existing tonomics with no changes at all?
If I were to be honest, it would be nice if bitdao reduced bybitās interference in working with the projects it recommends. And without forgetting to reduce the supply of $BIT tokens held by bybit which is so influential.
Even though BitDAO/Mantle is rebranding, if bybit still has more $BIT tokens than the community, it still wonāt change Bitdao/Mantleās image to be more decentralized. This is a threat to communities that still adhere to decentralization, one of which is myself

Dennison from Tally(dot)xyz here. This is really interesting proposal, and really gives Mantle Network and exciting future.
If we may suggestion, we would love to help out in this process of some of the technical implementations.
In particular we would suggest the Mantle team take the opportunity of migrating the token to implement the OpenZeppelin Governor Standard with ERC20Votes. This will allow Mantle to use tools like Tally, Boardroom, and many others to run their DAO and give them access to a wide range of DAO Tools that have already been built.
It also allows for the DAO being run trustlessly onchain.

In my opinion itās a good move to have one name/one token. Appreciate the Teamās hard work in establishing a strong foundation of the project and ensuring further developments in the network
I am fully supportive of this proposal. I like the idea One brand, One token, it makes users easier to find the connection between the token and the chain.
By the way, the proposed only changes the cosmetic brand, and the Mantle* token still have the same utilities as $BIT including additional features to support Mantle products and Mantle governance.
My question here is how do you manage the tokenās price (both $BIT and Mantle*) when accelerate all BIP-20 contributions and BitDAO launch vesting schedules?

I have a question: will a separate Mantle token be created or will the smart network use the Bit control token?
Why donāt you consider rebranding to BIT Network? Mantle is nice, but BIT is more recognizable in my opinion
Do you know how the rebranding will affect (or not) further relations with the bybit exchange?
